I liked this painting, but needed a title so I looked through a book I have on bridge and picked out a couple of bridge descriptions, hence the title Four of a Kind.

Expressionism, Contemporary Painting, Mixed Media Art,“The Hat in the Window” by Texas Contemporary Artist Sharon Whisnand

I couldn't resist a photo I found in a magazine of a hat sitting on top of a stack of wheat. I thought how intriguing if it were in a store window, hence my mixed media painting.

Expressionism, Contemporary Painting, Mixed Media Art, “Learn to Dance” by Texas Contemporary Artist Sharon Whisnand

Submit Gesso created texture to this painting as an under layer. A lot of interesting things are in this painting for the viewer to see the movements in this painting and the part circle reminded me of dancing. Many layers of color were glazed on to create dimension.
